We bought a recliner . During the first year the fabric started to rip and peel they changed the two arms of the recliner with the same fabric . After 10 months of the replacement and total after 18 months same thing is happening . They will not do any thing because the warranty is only for one year and additional warranty would not cover the fabric or the foam which is also de shaping . Extremely disappointed very poor quality and now the lazy boy store I purchased it from is also closed. I think they knowingly sold me the lemon if they knew the fabric is not good they should not use it on their product. I will report this to their management and will take legal actions against them if they don’t replace the garbage they sold me.

e bought a sectional couch from La-Z-Boy in July 2020 and they made the two frames different sizes, they don't match (one is 1 inch shorter than the other) and it has been over 7 months with no resolution. Their customer service makes you wait on hold with horrible elevator music playing for 45+ minutes each time (rather than having a call back feature) and they send repair technicians during a pandemic to take photos (they have been inside our house 5+ times and fixed nothing). I feel like I am being put off until our warranty expires because the company doesn't stand behind it's product; I bought a couch expecting it would be made well, not to be sent a sectional couch with pieces that don't match.

It’s a hazard to my senior citizen mothers life!

My mother who is almost 90 spent $1200 on a lazy boy chairlift recliner and now it’s a Hazard to her life because she’s going to get stuck in it. I would’ve given them zero stars if I could. What’s worse than their product is their customer service. The one thing they did very well was not fix the item so the warranty would run out and now that’s their excuse to do nothing.

"Leather" is Garbage

I purchased a "leather' loveseat in july 2019. It was delivered promptly but 6 months later the "leather" seats started to split and unravel and started to flake off. I called the company and 3 months later they came out and replaced the seats 4 months later the new seats and the arms began to do the same. I contacted the company that I had paid the extra warranty for and was told that 'since I could not tell them what had caused the problem the damage was not covered." My wife ad I are in our 80's, have no pets, and no children visiting so the damage is obviously a manufacturing problem. A lousily company . I will never buy from Lazy Boy again!

Horrible Horrible Experience

We ordered a double chair on November 11 2020 and was told by salesman Michael Jones that wait time was 10 to 12 weeks or maybe sooner because we are opening 2 new factories. When I called about 6 weeks later to ask about when we could expect our furniture I was told mid May!! This is twice as long as we were told !!! Of course we have not heard anything from them and who knows how long it might take ! We will never buy anything from them again and have told everyone we know not to use them. Sad how a company that was gppd can fall so far!!

Buyer beware...

There are so many things that went wrong. We ordered our chairs during the labor day weekend. Lazboy never updated us on any delays so I had to constantly go into the store to find out what was going on with our order. Later in the process I found out that the store has no real way of tracking what is going on and they were guessing based on what little information they did have. I was able to eventually speak with someone from the corporate office who told me exactly where my chars were in the process, one of them was still waiting on fabric. Only I found out later that was also a lie since that chair arrived about a month ahead of the newly delayed again schedule.
One of the chairs is broken and will not move, I am still waiting on our appointment to have someone come out and diagnose the problem as apparently getting an appointment takes over a month. I can only assume that is because there are so many broken chairs that the staff is incredibly busy. There is also other quality issues with the same chair. there is a hard lump in the backing that makes it incredibly uncomfortable to sit in for long periods of time.
I hope these issues can be resolved but with the issues i have had with this company in the last 7 months, I could not ever recommend this company to anyone. My experience with this company has been so bad that I cant understand how it still exists.

Bait and switch?

Purchased two reclining couches which took two months longer than quoted due to COVID. They look nice which is the only reason I'm giving them 2 stars, but they are SO uncomfortable. They are hard as a rock and feel nothing like the display in the store. It feels like they used a totally different foam. I kept them figuring they would soften up, but it's been months and no one wants to sit on them they're so hard. I emailed the company and was told that comfort was "subjective" but they would send a technician out. The technician's first appointment is two months from now! We're in pain from sitting on these couches and can't wait. We went to COSTCO and bought a much more comfortable leather power recliner for half the price with a TWO YEAR 100% return policy (La-z-boy gives you three days and wants a 30% restocking fee).

LAZY BOY is AWFUL

LAZY BOY is AWFUL. I ordered a 1500.00 Recliner. It took 5-6 weeks for it to arrive. When it did the chair imploded and broke down in less than 48 hrs. The technician came and jury rigged it to run; while it took 3-4 weeks for parts to arrive. After parts finally arrived, it never worked right afterwards again. Again, they came back out. This time they said they could do nothing more. Told me if I needed convincing to go back to the store model and measure with a tape ruler, so I did. They were actually different which explained why my chair was not right. I then told the store manager what was going on, he only told me he could do something "only" if the store superiors approved. Really? After all that extra warranty I purchased?
So, then after waiting longer, I finally called the credit card company and told them what was going on. They said, "what ?" After investigation, the Credit Card people got my money back and said tell them to come get the chair! When I told them to do that they said, "Ah, you have had the chair too long. And, we'll just sent the repairman instead, we can't authorize that, you can't do that." I was like, "Like hell, you'll come out and get this chair and give me my money back, take this disaster piece of crap you sold me." Well, the bank did it's job, I got my money back $ However, the chair is still here, they have failed to come get the chair. The status on the chair is, "It's imploded even worse now!! It's totally self-destroyed itself this time. Yes, you heard that correctly. I tried to recline in it, and suddenly, the back reclined and snapped to a negative 40 degree angle to the floor dumping me on my head with my feet in the air !! Their was a sudden crack, pop, slam, grinding, scraping, motor gear grinding metal sound, The End, it Imploded. Well, Lazy Boy has proved they care not about their customers. They are contracting contracts with cheap sweat shops in Tennessee and N.C. where they are threatening their workers with loss of their jobs, if they miss days for illnesses, sickness, or other issues, if they get hurt on the job, and then cranking up production line speeds for more profit. And, for cheaper cost. It doesn't matter how much bad product they sell out the door to us. They are after the bottom line. It's about the capitalism, and maximization of profits. They don't care about the customer, or the worker who is living in fear, and mistreated in the sweat shop or being brawl beat to make more at any cost. It's about that broken capitalism model that's killing this country at every turn, we can't even make furniture anymore, because of it. GREED.
UPDATE:

Lazy Boy finally came and picked up the chair. But, get this guys. They wanted to charge me an extra 80.00 to come pick it up! More low rent moves on the part of Lazy Boy. I quickly notified AMEX of what they were doing. They did not get an extra 80.00 out of AMEX. Always call your bank, or credit card. They will not put up with their shenanigans. The store manager and his office were annoyed they I got my money back via AMEX.
Lazy Boy, has disgusting tactics, are vicious, and will try to prey upon anyone possible. My message to Lazy Boy is. "How do you sleep at night, and how do you stay in business?" It's not honest, that's for sure. For CEO info see below.

Sofa disappointment

I purchased a sofa and matching love seat from Lazy Boy. The Love Seat is OK but the sofa is terrible. Love the color but the back does not have enough foam in it. The top looks wrinkled and a deflated look about it. Waited over a month for technician to come out only to try and fluff it up by unzipping the cover and fluffing the blown in foam Not solid. when he left it looked the same, wrinkled and loose material. Wont buy from Lazy Boy again. and from all these bad reviews alot of customers feel the same way. Very disappointing!

My Father spent over $2600.00 in 2018…

My Father spent over $2600.00 in 2018 for one of Lazy Boys top recliners. He is on hospice now & needs the chair immediately repaired to recline properly for his comfort. First repair man never called the day before to set up time that was promised. Day of repair was a no show. When I called they said their driver had a flat tire. No phone call about that after keeping that day open. Now their next possible repair day is December 9th. Negative stars for this company who can not even go out of their way to comfort a dying family member. Never again lazy boy! You should be deeply ashamed. You promote high quality yet have ZERO empathy in helping out your customers!!
